Because we both have relatives and friends in Europe (mostly Germany and now Hungary), we have made an effort to go there about every two years. Because we have a limited budget, we have found all sorts of ways of traveling inexpensively.
So we will try to delight you with lots of wonderful pictures, and we will also try not to bore you with too much unnecessary detail -- but you may need to skip over parts where we got too windy. It's sometimes hard to keep in mind which details are really interesting, and which are just tedious. Forgive us if we occasionally get the two mixed up.
And since we think that many people have the notion that travel has to be much too expensive, we'll try to include tips on how you can get the most out of your travel dollars.
Since we have several thousand photos, taken on five or six trips (don't worry, we won't subject you to all of them), we'll try to keep adding some of the best over the coming months. Please check back from time to time to see the new additions
Here's what will be on this website eventually, with links to those parts already available:
1) Thailand, 1962-1964. Black-and-white photos Chris took while in the Peace Corps.
2) Germany, 2001
3) Europe, 2004. Mostly Cortona, in Tuscany, but some in Hungary.
4) Germany, 2005 Criss-crossing Germany by rail. Berlin, Halle, Wuerzburg, Dinkelsbuhl, Augsburg, Munich, Freiburg
5) Canada (Victoria, British Columbia) 2006
7) Europe 2007 Hungary (Budapest and western Hungary), Freiburg/Black Forest, Paris
